About us
Wells Performance Materials is a Specialist Additive Masterbatch and Bespoke Compound Producer, supplying high performance materials for the polymer and allied industries.
The exhibition will allow Wells PM to showcase its offering to the Nordic Marketplace, in particular its expertise in the bespoke compounding of functional additives into a wide range of materials from polyolefins through to biopolymers.
In addition, Wells PM manufactures and supplies an extensive range of additive masterbatches to the polymer processing industry such as Antimicrobials, PFAS free processing aids through to UV stabilisers.
Wells PM will also be promoting its contract manufacturing services, supported by a recently opened Innovation Centre, a highly flexible manufacturing facility and extensive raw material handling capabilities.
Wells PM continues to improve on the Gold EcoVadis rating, which it has been awarded for the second year running. EcoVadis is the leading global sustainability ratings provider and looks in depth at the environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) of companies, and is recognised as a strategic partner for those companies where sustainability is a critical aspect for their brand and business.

Bespoke Compounding Services
Wells PM has extensive experience in providing bespoke contract and toll compounding services to the global polymer industry, from a few hundred kilos lots to thousands of tonnes. Materials processed include a variety of polymer bases from polyolefins through to biobased and biopolymer systems. Wells PM is a preferred partner for bespoke contract and toll compounding activities of technologically innovative products developed by leading polymer additive and polymer processing companies. A recently opened fully equipped Innovation Centre, with extensive facilities, supports the development of new products and formulations allowing Wells PM to provide a full service solution to its customers from sample development to product efficacy testing through to full scale commercial production.
Antimicrobial Masterbatches and Powder Dispersions
Wells is the owner, manufacturer and registered trademark holder of BACTIglas™, a wide range of antimicrobial products and solutions for the polymer and allied industries. BACTIglas™ has been developed by Wells to provide a wide range of bespoke antimicrobial solutions meeting the demands and requirements for new and innovative products and applications. BACTIglas™ is food safe and can be added at the manufacturing stage of articles made from polymers or polymeric materials to enhance and add value to your product. Supplied in number of different formats including masterbatches, compounds and powders, used in the medical, mass transport and consumer goods markets.
Additive Masterbatches
Wells Performance Materials Limited is the UK’s largest specialist additive masterbatch and compound manufacturer. Established in 1984 and based in Stone, Staffordshire, offering a wide range of proprietary additive masterbatches for the polymer processing industry including film, fibre and injection moulding. The expansive product range offers additive masterbatch solutions to enhance polymer properties such as slip and antiblock, polymer stability, lifespan and processability, lightweighting and sustainability technologies such as blowing agents, stabilisers and desiccants for increasing recycled content, through to antimicrobials for hygiene and mass transport settings marketed under the BACTiglas™ brand. In addition, Wells PM provides bespoke contract and toll compounding to the global polymer industry, from a few hundred kilos to thousands of tonnes, capable of dispersing and encapsulating a wide range of active powders, pellets, flakes, waxes, low melting point liquids through to ultra viscous materials into polymer bases from polyolefins to biobased and biopolymer systems.
High Performance Antioxidant Systems for Recycled Feedstocks
Wells Performance Materials has been at the forefront of additive masterbatch development and production for over 40 years and has recently formulated a range of high performance antioxidant masterbatches. These products are specifically focused on improving the thermal stability of polyolefin compounds manufactured utilising recycled feed stocks and compliments a growing range of sustainability solution masterbatches. Wells PM recognised, that in line with both the UK Plastics Strategy and the European Plastics Strategy, the need for greater recyclability of standard polymers and for those materials to be re-used into evermore demanding applications. It was essential that high performance antioxidant systems like these were developed to allow formulators, processors, product designers and material specifiers to be able to demand higher physical performances from their recycled feedstocks.
