Our main initiatives:

Energi

The venue implements energy-saving measures by using only green electricity and reducing unnecessary energy consumption. Energy use is carefully managed through control of lighting, heating, and ventilation, heating, and air conditioning (HVAC). Additionally, the facility is equipped with LED lighting to further conserve energy.

Travel & Accommodation

Easyfairs reduces travel emissions by selecting preferred accommodation partners based on sustainability criteria. The venue offers bicycle parking and nearby electric vehicle charging stations. We encourage carpooling to the event and recommend using public transport to further reduce environmental impact.

Shipping & Logistics

Easyfairs stand packages reduce transport emissions and waste, and we select our suppliers based on sustainability criteria. We apply these criteria in our contracts and base our choice of suppliers on their sustainability efforts in transportation.

Production & Waste

ChatGPT sade:

We implement a strict waste management and reduction plan and limit plastic use at our events. Generated waste is carefully sorted, and we use reusable carpet tiles during our events. Additionally, our Smart Badge technology enables a significant reduction in paper consumption for our exhibitors.

Food & Food Waste

ChatGPT sade:

We apply sustainable food supply principles at our catering outlets, reduce food waste, and donate leftover food to charity. We encourage our suppliers to use portion control to minimize waste, offer vegetarian and vegan options, and do not serve red meat in our lunch restaurants.

Social Responsibility

ChatGPT sade:

We strive to be an inclusive team that embraces diversity and provides equal opportunities for all, while embedding sustainability at the core of our events. Our event seminar programs focus on sustainability topics, and we offer a platform for startups to showcase their groundbreaking innovations.

Here are some practical tips on how to make your participation more sustainable.

Choose a reusable stand package from the organizer or design your own stand so that the structure can be reused year after year. Work with your stand builder to make your stand as sustainable as possible! Avoid creating a one-time-use stand just for a single event. Create reusable signage (without dates) made from recyclable materials and, when possible, using eco-friendly ink. Use LED lighting and other energy-efficient equipment for your stand, and remember to turn it off at the end of the day. Try to avoid using carpet, and if you really need it, preferably choose reusable carpet tiles. If you use regular carpet, ensure it is recyclable and that it will be recycled.

Whenever possible, choose public transportation or carpool with your colleagues. Select a hotel within walking distance and/or one that implements eco-friendly practices.

Consolidate your shipments and, whenever possible, use transport and logistics companies that implement sustainable practices. Favor local suppliers to support the local economy and reduce transportation. Choose suppliers who demonstrate environmental and social credentials.

Bring your own reusable water bottle and use our water stations to help reduce single-use plastic. If you serve food at your stand, preferably choose locally produced and plant-based options and avoid using single-use plastics. Minimize food waste by ordering only the amount of food needed.

Take an active role in the various initiatives and discussions during the event that will support sustainable development within your sector. Inspire visitors by showcasing the sustainable features of your products.
