RadiciGroup, Acerbis and Genny Factory SA collaborated on the creation of a self-balancing personal transporter, a two-wheeled electric vehicle designed to redefine mobility standards from the medical sector to urban micromobility.
Genny Factory SA, headquartered in Ticino, Switzerland, chose to use an all-Italian supply chain and worked together with RadiciGroup and Acerbis on fine-tuning numerous structural and aesthetic parts of the vehicle.
Specifically, RadiciGroup provided its high-performance engineering polymers and supported the entire design process through its Engineering Service, which uses numerical simulation systems to predict the behaviour of components in the early stages of development. The goal was to replace the metal parts of the initial prototypes of Genny Zero with RadiciGroup’s materials to make the product lighter (now 60 kg, down from the initial 110 kg), while ensuring resistance, safety, and aesthetics.
RadiciGroup brought into play different materials, including Radistrong® and Radilon® for functional and structural components (frame and the seat) and Radilon® Mixloy for aesthetic components.
