PLASTTEKNIK NORDIC POSTPONED UNTIL LATER THIS YEAR
Gothenburg, 2 February 2021: International event organizer Easyfairs announced today that the plastics processing event Plastteknik Nordic, which should have been arranged in Malmö on 26–27 May 2021, is postponed. The reason is the meeting restrictions that apply until further notice and the great uncertainty caused by the pandemic. The event will be arranged at MalmöMässan on 1-2 December 2021
“Plastteknik Nordic is an important meeting place for both the Danish and Nordic plastics industry. We support moving the fair to late 2021, where there is a bigger opportunity to attract exhibitors and visitors. It is not easy to carry out large events at the moment, but we hope for better times later in the year.”, said Plastteknik Advisory Board member and managing director of the Danish Plastics Federation Thomas Drustrup. Plastteknik Nordic takes place at Malmömässan strategically positioned only a short train ride away from Denmark and therefore attracts both Danish exhibitors and visitors, but all Nordic countries are represented making it a great business area to connect and build business in the Nordic countries.
There is clearly a need for live events in the plastics industry as they play an important part in the economic recovery. The managing director of the Finish Plastics Industry Federation, Vesa Kärhä, says that “Plastteknik Nordic in December 2021 will obviously be one of the first possibilities to meet face to face colleagues, customers – a big crowd of people.” Kärhä finishes “Those people even then will certainly need our products more than ever. I can hardly wait.”
