Hamburg-based K.D. Feddersen Holding GmbH supports through a follow-up stake in the start-up Biofiber Tech Sweden AB the production upscaling of their material innovation FibraQ®.
Hamburg-based K.D. Feddersen Holding GmbH has, together with other existing shareholders, e.g. Almi Invest GreenTech, completed a follow-up investment in Biofiber Tech, a Sweden-based green tech start-up. Recently, Biofiber Tech and the Feddersen Group presented themselves as forward-looking partners at Chinaplas, the leading plastics and rubber trade show. The world’s first 3D-printed full-size kayak made of wood fibers and recycled plastic compounds was exhibited.
FibraQ® are modified wood fibres and wood fibre compounds that provide optimal compatibility with plastics to achieve the best possible properties in technical applications in injection moulding, extrusion, thermoforming and 3D printing. Hence, FibraQ® can be used as a sustainable alternative in multiple products and applications to reduce global carbon emissions.
