French manufacturer SISE (Société Industrielle de Service Electrique) will present a brand new range of
GC units dedicated to sequential valve gate control

Set up in 1971 in Oyonnax in Eastern France, SISE designs, manufactures and distributes a comprehensive range of products for the composites and plastics moulding industries. SISE France has now 90 employees, along with subsidiaries in the USA (Atlanta) and Germany (Ludwigshafen), and a large network of reps and distributors. The company started to manufacture Hot Runner Controller in Atlanta around middle 2018. SISE has 4 activities with a wide range of products and accessories: Hot Runner temperature control, mold temperature control, production & process monitoring, and sequential valve gate control.

Plastteknik Nordic is a good event for SISE to exhibit as the company is developing its sales and its presence in Northern Europe. The event provides a great opportunity to meet existing and potential customers and decision-makers from targeted industries like packaging, medical, automotive and truck, plastic technical components – all under one roof.

At Plastteknik Nordic three new units will be presented. First, the entry-level IS’Timer which can control up to 16 pneumatic or hydraulic valve gates, then the GC’Access controlling up to 18, and finally the GC’TECH controlling up to 36 gates. Two are equipped with new colour touch screens, and all include new functions such as end of stroke management, multi-material management, VNC link, curve displays and especially the new programming mode… In addition, they offer traceability of parts produced with part counting, scrap detection and real-time data recording.

Regarding hot runner temperature control, SISE will also present its new MV3 generation which will be capable of regulating up to 336 zones. It has been deployed in early 2020 on 6 platforms (XXS, XS, S, M, M, L and XL) with 4 available power cards (2.5 A, 15A, 15A, 20A and 30A) to adapt the offer to various industries such as packaging, automobile, cosmetics, medical and electrical engineering.

It is sold sold with 7’’, 10” and 12” integrated touch panels and a Linux-based software program developed by SISE. Pivoting and detachable side panels facilitate access to power and thermocouple cards greatly. This new generation includes useful and advanced functions such as 4 soft start modes, zone grouping, PTI function for thermocouple anomalies, Moldscan for hot runner system real-time diagnosis, as well as real-time material leak detection. The system is of course multilingual (up to 12 languages available) with unlimited backup of mold programs.

Lastly, recording and monitoring temperatures in production, and communicating via multiple protocols is fully in line with the 4.0 strategy, i.e. supporting the installation of so-called ”Smart Factory”.
